The Life of General Thomas J. Jackson "Stonewall" In Easy Words For The Young (Fourth Reader Grade) Illustrated by Mary L. Williamson
A very easy book to read, containing 254 pages, with a section of Southern War Poems at the end of it. Once you start reading it you cant stop. It has some great illustrated pics in it and as you read it, its almost like she is sitting there telling you about what it was like being Stonewall Jackson. She is great at detailing each situation he gets himself into.
Very good old biography of confederate General Stuart. Interesting stories of civil war battles.
A great man and a great story, but the book was poorly written.
This book is a biography of one of America' greatest heroes. After distinguishing himself repeatedly in the Mexican War, he went on to serve as Superintendent of West Point. He then took up arms in defense of his home state of Virginia. When the South was finally overwhelmed, he did all in his power, to help the South recover.
