Very good introduction to quantitative finance. Concepts are explained well, good examples, good set of exercises. Highly recommended if you want to become a quant in a bank.
Why did I study a subject which had this book on the book list? Surely I should have known better than to put myself through that!
Having said that, the book is very very good, detailed, good explanations etc, but it is about FUTURES. Cack!

There's a reason why this is the standard text. It's comprehensive and easy to understand. The math is surprisingly simple. Covers a lot of ground and has questions at the back of each chapter (the solutions manual is for sale) Definitely a book you can read without an instructor
