Augustine (Blackwell Great Minds) by Gareth B. Matthews

A very readable introduction to the works of the man who laid the theological basis for the Catholic Church. Although Augustine's Confessions is an oddly modern work, his other treatises are much less easily digested; this books helps to aid in understanding them.
