Todd Fisher

It was hard to put this book down. Todd Fisher does a fantastic job of telling us what it was like growing up as the son of Debbie Reynolds and the brother of Carrier Fisher - two strong women. As he sees his mother taken advantage of by the men in her life, he becomes her protector. Fisher lets us in on intimate scenes but with love and insight. He had his own problems but appeared to work through them, all the while helping his mom and sister and being there for them. I have been a fan of show more Debbie since 1957 when at not quite age 1, my mom started playing the record Tammy to help me sleep at night. I was able to see Debbie at her Vegas hotel and her wonderful collection of costumes as well as at other venues over the years. She was a consummate performer who really knew how to hold and entertain an audience. It is a shame her dream of a museum for her costume collection was never realized and now that collection is scattered all over the world. This is one of the best biographies I have read recently and I highly recommend it. show less
