A ten star read. I want to shake and kiss this author at the same time!!! This author continues to write amazing stories that suck you and from the beginning. The story of Karina and Ulliem continues and we now get a better picture of why Karina becomes Belladonna. There are still a lot of missing pieces to the puzzle but many questions are answered. This book was amazing absolutely amazing. Karina and Uliliums relationship is explosive, their chemistry is off the charts. I like how we get show more to see a little bit of The Kingmaker humanized in this book. Then he ruins it. Not that we expected anything less from him. The ending killed me and now I will anxiously await what happens next!!!! show less

This author can write a story that sucks me in faster than my mind can comprehend. I'm like a fat kid with cake. Every story she writes is as if I'm stranded in the desert and her words become water. She is like wine and gets better with time.
Her characters have lived through hell and yet they emerge stronger, albeit scarred, on the other side. Her storylines are on point and shows that even in a world bent on revenge there is always hope. Nothing is black or white in this world which show more is a reminder that I as the reader needs to see.
Even though these stories are all interrelated they are definite standalones but I would highly recommend reading all of them. Fall in love with this master wordsmith and the characters like I have done. show less

The final novel in the Seasons of Betrayal series and the conclusion to one of my favorite mafia romances to date. Bethany-Kris and London Miller waste no time in thrusting the reader back into the bloodshed, the deceit, the heavy-weighted threats, the all-encompassing fear, and the strongest love story that Kaz and Violet share as husband and wife. Picking up right where Where the Snow Falls left of we see Kaz struggling to make it out alive and show more Violet becoming stronger and more resolute in her decision than we had ever seen before. The family battle has grown larger, the hatred between them affecting everyone around them. The lies they must tell and the choices they must make are devastating.
"-we have to take it one thing at a time, minute by minute."
Not even day by day, Violet through to herself. No. Minute by minute.
Oh my goodness, I cannot say enough good things about how quickly Bethany-Kris and London Miller are able to pull readers into the story. It was like no time had past since I finished the previous book, because the moment I started reading page one my heart rate sped up and I was worrying my lip wanting to know what could possibly happen next. Kaz has grown ruthless, a darker version of himself, and Violet, my gosh I've grown to love that girl and her backbone. The change in these characters made me enjoy this book even more, because they seemed to finally grow up and recognize that the actions they took to be together could only end in death, their own or others'. Toss in the parents and the siblings, as well as the several other supporting characters, and you have a complex story that weaves around, never quite giving away who would shoot a gun next. Every character was phenomenal in this final novel, the complexities each presented far more present than the previous releases. I couldn't have predicted some of the betrayals and I loved the twists mixed in, because each character is so passionate about what they wanted to see happen.
The relief was sweet.
Like candy melting in her mouth.
Like love in her fucking heart.
Like sun on her face.
Romeo and Juliet have nothing on the love that Kaz and Violet share for one another. Where the Wind Whispers features the war these two have causes by their romance. It was an intense, emotional read, but I couldn't have asked for a better conclusion to this series. Nothing is simple about this book, the sacrifices too large to be comfortable, and with darkness at every turn, I feel like it is one of the most believable organized crime series I have read in a long time and I am sad to see the Russian-Italian couple go.
A strange pride curled in his chest, warming him for the moment. How much she had changed, he knew. How amazing she could be, he mused. show less

Kazimir Markovic is free after four months behind bars, his father expected it to teach him a lesson, not set him on a path of destruction and bloodshed. The only thing on his mind is his Italian love, Violet Gallucci. Hiding isn't part of their plan, biding their time while they work out an elaborate plan to take out the Russian Mafia's boss is. The Italians want Violet back, but Kaz won't allow that. As the weather turns bleak and the streets turn white with snow, the bloodshed show more is more apparent than ever. Someone has to lose the game.
Would he ever harm her? No. He would go to the ends of the earth to keep her safe. But others? If they thought to cross him or attempt to keep him away from her, they wouldn't be as lucky.
Starting four short months after the end of Where the Sun Hides, Where the Snow Falls is the second novel in the Seasons of Betrayel series by Bethany-Kris and London Miller. Like WTSH, WTSF is told from the dual POV's of Violet and Kaz, but this time the plot has thickened and the outcome seems bleaker. I cannot get over how strong of a character Kaz is, we get less of a glimpse of his personal thoughts in this release, but we see a lot more action on his part. He is ruthless, determined, and the most loyal alpha-male. Violet is sweet as ever, except she's accepted the lifestyle much quicker than I expected her to. She fell a little flat for me in this novel, because she couldn't very well get involved with the bloodshed with how protective Kaz is, but after that ending I know we're going to see her take the stage soon. The scenes these two share together are out of this world hot, filled with chemistry and smut, I could not get enough of them. This forbidden romance with a mafia twist is definitely one I can't put down and the cliffhanger only keeps the series and characters in the forefront of my mind.
It was almost as if he loved to watch all the sounds fall from her lips. Like it was his favorite thing next to making her scream.
Bethany-Kris and London Miller continue to show their skills in the romantic suspense genre with Where the Snow Falls. The writing in this series is excellent and allows the reader to see every scene and feel every emotion. I have fallen in love with Kaz, with his dedication to Violet, and the amount of destruction he goes through to keep his heart safe. This is a mafia tale like no other and I recommend it to all readers who enjoy romantic suspense, mafia, and forbidden romances.
Kaz had never felt terror-not that all-consuming emotion that made him feel like he was going to fucking die just from the rapid pace of his heart-but then he felt it then. show less
