Gee, I wish I knew all the information encapsulated in this book. I know a smattering but it's a lovely book, even if a bit dated. However, I have to downsize my library and this is one of the casualties. Pity. I have the romantic notion that some day I'm going to sit down and read all of this from cover to cover. (A totally unlikely scenario). But it seems to be well done and the contributing authors seem quite awesome. Five stars from me.

A very in-depth textbook that organizes the information by the principle of emergent properties, from smallest and simplest to largest and most complex. Online services with videos recommended.
