Heavy coffee table book for adults. Gorgeous, in an intense sort of way. Created very shortly after the event. Plenty of text covering pre-history to future context, too, for those interested in that level of detail.

I wanted more pictures of the inside, or close-up, because it's bugging me how I can't figure out how the structure actually worked. The windows were 23 inches wide, making the exterior look solid from the outside at any distance... so, no conference rooms with picture show more windows....

Skimmed Jan 2021.

This is a photographic essay, a memory book of the World Trade Center. I usually do not go in for the mushy, overyly sentimental, reactive sort of book. I always loved the WTC; thought it one of my favorite spots in New York. Every time we went to the city, we went to WTC at least a couple of times, usually to eat at Windows on the World and always for the half-price tickets for Broadway. So in addition to the tragedy, the place already held a unique position in my heart. The book is well show more done for a hastily assembled photo montage. show less
