Origami is definitely an amazing art. This book is definitely confusing. I'm not sure what level of origami expertise is needed to garner the most from this book, but it is not beginner level. The first chapter is about origami puzzles. What are origami puzzles? You will have to either guess, or go to another source because there is no explanation. Then the next page, still in the same chapter, moves on to pinwheels. Much of the book is like this. Hopping around on seemingly unrelated (other show more than being origami) topics.
There are photos of completed items. However, instructions for items are hand drawn, with a lot of arrows indicating which way to fold the paper. Easy to follow with basic origami forms. Not so easy to follow with more complex origami forms.
To be fair, this book was not originally published in English, and there are probably things that were lost in translation. Still, I regret purchasing this book. show less

I will never be able to make any of the things in this book, but I enjoyed looking at the pretty pictures.
I'm not particularly fond of this book. Instead of traditional designs, the book mostly features original deisigns by the author, and most of them aren't that good, IMO.
