NCLA Review - We are often warned about feelings in our relationship with God. But author Brian Borgman points out that the Bible speaks of God’s heart, His emotions and feelings. God communicates with passion and emotion in His Word thus prompting us to respond to Him in the same way.
The author adequately covers topics such as The Character of God; How to Handle the Emotions through Truth; Sinful Anger; Unforgiveness and Bitterness; Fear, Anxiety and Worry; Depression; Jesus Our Pattern; The Emotions and Worship and The Emotions and Preaching.
There is some reference to and quotes from writers who are known as Calvinist. Several other writers are also quoted so the book could be considered fair and balanced. The reader should have an awareness of the theological aspects of the writings and have discernment for the Word of God. This book has many nuggets of truth about our “feelings and faith.” Rating: 2 —ARG
