Tatty copy, a chunk missing from front page and all of back page no longer with book; has been used and interesting to see what was spotted by previous owner:
Round church tower at Potter Heighams, 22/8/56;
Morris dancing: Harrow at Gayton Fair, 23/7/1960
Optician, London, 5/11/57.
It is a long while since I have seen: pillar box with a vertical slit; sign post with lamp; bus with posting box, a C. & B seen sign; a Slow Splash sign, Horse stocks, Hitching ring, Ostler's bell, a mobile theatre, a show more mobile hairdresser, a thatched telephone kiosk, a tram-pinch sign, a tramway crossing, a coracle.
A great tool, for charting social change and history. show less

However old you are, you can't help loving i-spy books, especially this one when on holiday in France. Auto-ecole, spotted; boulangerie, spotted; Paris, yes saw lots of the sights; macarons everywhere but no Macron.
This is very informative what with photos and descriptions of a Mongolian yurt, Glamping, citronella candles, teardrop trailers, etc.
One of a new generation of I-spy books. There is still the lure of a certificate but only an e-one. I'm not sure how you I-spy with my little eye - wasted water, just for 5 points.
