Part of my massive Barbara Gordon Re-read which I had a glorious amazing time with. The art in the early Batgirl stuff was very touch and go to me, which made me wince a while reading through it, but I definitely appreciated the beginning of Cass' story, and Bab's involvement in that with Cass and with/against Bruce.
After the deaths of Stephanie and his father, Tim Drake decides to relocate to Bludhaven - too many ghosts in Gotham - with Batman's blessing and support. Bruce sends Batgirl to Bludhaven also, in the hope that each will learn from the other, and become more complete crime-fighters. This seems to be successful, as they fight and learn together, coming to agreement on some topics and agreeing to disagree on others. I find these two to be two of the more intriguing young characters in the show more Batman pantheon, and it is good to see them bonding, with maybe even the hint of a future romance? We'll see. show less
Issues 15-15, 21, and 26-28 of the new "Batgirl" comic book compiled. This is a more disjointed collection, skipping over such events as Batgirl's promised confrontation with Shiva. But the stories hold up nevertheless, and there is a welcome element of humor beginning to show, especially in Batgirl's interactions with Spoiler. She even cracks a joke or two.
