This. Um...Okay. So Kat is a country girl who comes to Town for a well overdue Season at the urging of her aunt. Auntie makes a huge mistake that sends Kat on an undercover investigation. The plot line is less believable than those old episodes of Dick Van Dyke where someone heard something while eavesdropping and got it all wrong and hilarity ensued. Still, if you can get past that, it is a fun read. Just not believable, but hey, it's escapism and that's why you read, right?

adventure romance - likable characters - author does better than average job on giving character to the characters so they feel alive/read (vs flat)

The book was an engaging read, I do think that many regency readers would enjoy it, but I just don't personally care for the plot devices used.… (more)

Not nearly as good (as my previous book) - when I finished it my comment was "That could have been a lot better." The concept might have been interesting if the writing was a lot better.
And the blurb is a lot better than the book - I bought this three separate times, and didn't realize until I started reading!
