(Fictitious character, Dog) in the Dog Dish of Doom, Bruno is a talented mutt owned by Trent and Lewis Barclay. Kay Powell is his agent, and she believes that he could be her breakthrough client in a revival of Annie!, if she can keep Lewis Barclay from sabotaging his career.

2. (Fictitious character?: Great Dane) In Cora Harrison's Summer of Secrets, Bruno is a magnificent Great Dane owned by Lord Edward Bulwer-Lytton, who is neglected and chained up in the stables. Wilkie Collins becomes fond of the dog, and hopes to either get Bruno for himself or have Charles Dickens rescue him from Bulwer-Lytton.
