I'm trying to make a list of things that I've read about for years that sounded so cool like:
• Get a star named after you
Eg: My Most Excellent Year; various movies?
• Come up with stories about people you see on the street
Eg: StarGirl
• Travel to a different city, intending to scalp tickets, not sure if you'll really be able to get in
Eg: Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
• Make a goal (such as to cook every recipe in a book) and blog about it
Eg: Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen
• Make up a word for something and popularize it:
Eg: 1. Recess (Cartoon): "This whomps!"; 2. My Most Excellent Year: "What a ginky thing to do!" "You gink!"
Alternatively, make up your own secret language (I've done this, actually)
• Make up a play & perform it for your friends/family (complete with costumes & home-made invites)
Eg: Finding Neverland
• Make a clubhouse (tree house, shed, cave of grass, whatever) & use it all the time!
Eg: Movies: 1. The Sandlot?, 2. Little Rascals; Anime/Manga: 3. 20th Century Boys
• Build a raft and take it downstream somewhere (Actually, this sounds dangerous, don't do this.)
Eg: Tom Sawyer
• Host a talent show for your friends/family/neighborhood
Eg: ?
What are some other things I can add to my list? And which book or movie does the idea come from? You can give your own ideas too.
IMPORTANT:
The goal is to be specific. In books characters will often talk about special memories that they have, like a time that their mother named a star after them My Most Excellent Year and it's something cool that sounds fun and that if you did it, it would become a part of your life. You know? My examples may not be the best ones but that's why I'm asking you guys :)

I like this idea. It would help to have the references closer to hand. If you follow the instructions for Touchstones to titles on the right as you draft a message, we'll be able to go directly to the book.
Incorporating a link to a movie is harder but doable. IMDB is a good source for movie information; you can sort by title. Then you can link the specific movie thread to the title in your message; how to do links and other HTML processes are pretty clearly expressed in this thread.
Thanks for starting this.

Ride a horse, bareback, at a gallop through the waves on a deserted island. (The Black Stallion by Walter Farley)
ETA: Also a great movie sequence.

Have a lot of people believing you are an angel sent by some greater power to save them like it happens to Peekay who becomes The Tadpole Angel in The Power of one by Bryce Courtenay.
By the way, good soundtrack in the movie adaptation.

#4: I loved The Black Stallion, it was one of my favourites when a child and I even learnt the movie by heart. That horse was so beautiful ! Pure bliss !

Sorry, I was in a rush. But I don't know if I would've gone back and fixed if you hadn't requested it. Thanks :)
@Others
Keep 'em coming, folks! Come on, I know you've read books and had dreams!

I guess I'd like to die and come back to life. I've had the experience where I thought I was dead, but I don't suppose that counts...
(after Lazarus has been resurrected)
Saul: How do you feel?
Lazarus: I like the light.
Saul: What was it like? Which is better: Death, or life?
Lazarus: I was a little surprised... wasn't that much difference.
(pause)
Saul: Give me your hand.
(stabs him)

to have a friendship with one horse like in Green Grass of Wyoming by Mary O?Hara
Play chess as well as the little girl in The Queen’s Gambit by Walter Tevis (sorry touchstone not working)
Play in a movie either with Radha Mitchell or Julianne Moore (I couldn’t care less about what kind of movie is, Just the two actresses matter to me)
To think up a great robbery (of course I would rob a real crook like in ocean's eleven)
To live in a place where you have to face a very different culture, like in The Quiet American by Graham Greene or Stones for Ibarra
by Harriet Doerr
