Harry Potter: What House Would You Be In?

What house would you be in and why?
Would it be Griffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin?

It depends. If we go by their description, then I would be in Hufflepuff. But since the book really didn't go by it's own descriptions and even stated that the students can pretty much be in any House they wanted if they asked the Sorting Hat, I would go with Slytherin. That way I would immediately have the favor of the cruelest and most unfair teacher at school.

I have to agree with jr1316 on being in slytherin. It's also the hose with the best contacts!!

By the way jr1316, u should be a member of the group, it's sounds like ur a big Mr. Potter fan and we can use some more opinions here!!

i dont remember what hufflepuff was. but i would be in there becuase i am not brave, not really smart, and not evil. so that narrows my choices!

Ron on the other hand, his best talent was sitting next to Harry on the train the first time in sorcer stone!! If I was Harry I would have ditched Ron by the third book!!

With out Hermione both Ron & Harry could have been dead several times over! Each of them has a part to play & together they are strong & they survive, without any one of them things would have gone very differently. 8^)

for the record, im sorry, but i almost thought harry wasnt that realistic. sure he had some downsides, but he wasnt always that modest, and he mostly had help from friends when he did lots of the stuff he wasnt famous for, but when publicity hit, he was always alone. does that make sense?

I guess I sort of get what you're trying to say. I thought that Harry was too perfect, if you know what I mean.

I thought that Harry was a scrawny kid who was lucky he had good friends ( mostly Hermione!!)
I also think that he was way to full of himself!! In the seventh book he never really appreciated what all of the people were doing for him!!

We got way of topic with this one!! So I'm gonna start over with what house I would be in. I would probably be in ravenclaw but sneak into gryfinndor all the time because of my friends. So sort me that way!!

I would be in Slytherin, because I'm a true Slyth and proud of it.

i was on tabby's group and became a gryffindor, but i dont think im brave enough personally, i always picture myself more of a ravenclaw!

I don't think that Hufflepuff is the house that students go into when rejected by the others. I mean look at Diggory. He was chosen to be the Hogwarts champion and he was in Hufflepuff. Btw I'd definitely choose Griffindor all the way ;)

Hello everyone!! I'm new to this group but like you, I'm an avid fan of Rowling's Harry Potter series. Since this thread talks about houses in Hogwarts, I just want to say that my favorite is Slytherin. I disagree to those who say that Slytherin is a bad house. I seriously think that Slyths have a good side too.

i think that slytherin got a bad rap after harry potter... i mean (sorry cherry) but they arent my favorite house, but everyones so prejudiced about them just cuz voldy and draco and snape had it

Voldemort was an evil man (but he's a genius). Draco is coward (but who cares? He's soooo good-looking). And Snape, he is the bravest man I've ever known.

Have you heard of the reptile house? They built a house right above a place underground where thousands of snakes live. People don't live there for more than a year. They say that it looks like the ground is moving.

I've taken three different online Sortng Hat Quizzes so far and everyone says I belong in Hufflepuff. So it would seem I was actually Sorted into the correct House after all.

I went to the following three online Harry Potter Sorting Hat Quizzes:

Of them the second one was the best. It's called: Find Your Hogwarts House:
The Harry Potter Sorting Hat Personality Test. There are 122 questions you
have to answer and you should be honest when you answer the questions
that way you'll be Sorted into the correct House for you. You rate the Answers
on a 1-9 Scale.

I took the first two tests that you mentioned and I was very truthful. It put me in Gryffindor on both tests, with the Personality Lab giving me a minor in Ravenclaw and the Almighty Guru's giving Slytherin as my second choice.

First quiz- Hufflepuff 12
Gryffindor 11
Ravenclaw 11
Slytherin 9
Second Quiz- it wouldnt work
Third quiz- couldnt find it.

I got hufflepuff too! But it was REALLY close with ravenclaw. I think it was like 13 and 12. I forgot the other scores.

The first I was a Gryffindor. I answered 10 questions for each house. And the second and got Ravenclaw: 80, Slytherin: 75, and Gryffindor and Hufflepuff: 74.

i got puff on the first 2, have yet to try the other.
