It's been a while since I went through a proper winter, but:

1) Trying not to slip on ice (if you're not in a rush, of course).
2) The days get dark early.
3) Get dressed and stump downstairs to have breakfast with the kids (exciting, I know).
4) I don't work, other than chase the kids from pillar to post, but I occasionally do the shopping after volunteering at school.
5) A tri-colour frangipani tree (as in the flowers are tri-coloured).
6) An unexpected gift made by one of the kids in school.
7) Taking showers.
8) Elephant dung paper (I'm sorry; but I was going through my photos earlier today, and that's the first one that came to mind)

I couldn't remember anything I loved about winter, but

ETA : This year, winter fell in June / July for me, so I couldn't count Christmas etc. But we did have holidays, and had the pleasure of seeing the kids enjoying snow for the first time.

#88 Yes, we still have milk delivered, I also have an organic veg box delivered, which does some dairy and other groceries too. Cuts down on the need for shopping trips greatly. It is rarely cold enough for the milk to freeze on the doorstep and push up the lid, but it did happen a few times in the cold winters 2/3 years ago.

But what is Family Feud? Why do you need our survey answers?

Robert, Family Feud is an American game show that adapts itself easily to being played by group. There are two teams. On television the teams are each made up of family members so you have in effect two feuding families. Each team gets a question like "Name something you like about winter" The television staff has surveyed a group of people prior to the show and has collected the five most common answers to the question. The team has to guess as many of the 5 common answers as they can. The team that does the best wins.

Family Feud is an American television game show. It's described in this Wikipedia article. You might recognize one of the international versions of the show.

We had the largest crowd we've ever had tonight and we even had kids playing. Everyone had a great time and we even advertised that some of the survey questions were answered by the great people at LT.

My husband and I just host.
He is the emcee - doing the questions and revealing the answers.
I'm the scorekeeper and judge- my part is comparing the answer they gave to the real answer and award points accordingly. I'm going non-stop once we start. While the players are working on their answers for the current question, I'm scoring the past question. Last night a family of Mom and Dad, 3 kids (ages 6-12) aunt and uncle won. The kids were very excited. I try to have questions that the kids can answer too, so that it really is family night out. One of the adult teams had a hard time with the kid questions.
Example of the kid question last night - Name a character who found love and 'lived happily ever after' - the answers were Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Shrek - the kids got Shrek but the adults didn't. For scoring if you get all the answers right you get a bonus of 25 points so that helped the winning team.

We had 68 people - 10 teams - several of the teams were people that had never come before, and it was the largest crowd we've ever had. We're trying to get people(families) to come out t the club in the winter and evenings so that they can see that there are fun activities and not just golf for Dad. I'm the head of the Ladies Social committee so I've been working on Ladies events as well. The ladies book club is starting to grow.

I turned on the TV yesterday and stumbled across a quiz show called 'Pointless' where contestants need to guess the least common answers given by a group of people rather than the most common. The fewer people who gave that answer from the survey, the fewer points you score and the aim is to score as little as possible. It looked quite tricky to second-guess what would be a common answer and then go for something much more obscure.

Wow, I've never heard of that one.
I'll have to go check it out. We're always looking for new games!
