I think most people have ignored the title of this post: "Where are you from?" and just listed a few books with any old country or city name in the title. Me, I live in Chester, UK:

The Chester Mystery Cycle
Chester the Worldly Pig by Bill Peet
Chester I Love You by Blaine M Yorgason
Chester Chipmunk's Thanksgiving by Barbara Williams
Have You Seen Chester? by Andrew Murray

I've moved so much in my life that it would take two or three pages to list all the places. So I'll just hit five highlights, ending with my present location:
1. The Great West Virginia snow adventure by Martin and Delia Wach
2. Texas by James Michner
3. Tennessee, off the beaten path by Tim O'Brian and Jackie Schecler Finch (yes I own this, had to entertain 'Yankee' guests at my wedding, so got this book.)
4. Chicago Confidential by Max Allen Collins
5. Charlie Moves to Arizona by C.A. Goody.
