Would it be possible to flag reviews with spoilers and/or hide the spoiler part, so that those of use who want to have a fair idea of what the book is about but not the actual twists or revelations can choose whether we want to read them or not?
I have to say, I have very rarely found unannounced spoilers on this site, but I just came across a HUGE one in a 2-line review (so it wasn't even a tiny spoiler in the midst of an in-depth review, the spoiler was the whole review).
I tried to flag it, but it didn't semm like this is a breach of the terms or abuse, so in the end I didn't.

I recently saw the spoiler HTML used in an LT review, and asked the author how they did it. Apparently just use the typical HTML format (pointy brackets), so:
{spoiler} Here is the offending text revealing the murderer {/spoiler}
But instead of the curly braces, use the pointy brackets (can't type them so they appear in this message, they appear above the period and comma on my keyboard).
Here's an example:
The butler did it!

Huh. That's something Tim (or one of the other coders) must have added recently. Or else never announced and no one knew. I dug into it and see how they did it in their CSS.
I wonder if they know it doesn't work in Chrome...

>6 brightcopy: I'm using Chrome and it works just fine for me.

Is that supposed to do something? I see The Butler did it! Safari on iPad.

Chrome in windows, Chrome on a mac, Chrome on an ipad, etc.?
For me in particular, it was Chrome on Win8.

#8 by @MarthaJeanne> Is your ipad running iOS 7 or is it still running 5 or 6? It works on my ipad air (ipad3), but I suspect it wouldn't work on my ipad1.

Oh, that might be the difference. I'm on a Mac.

I'm on Chrome but XP, and it works.
For those not seeing it in operation, instead of seeing "The butler did it!" there is a shaded phrase "Spoiler (click to see)" which you can toggle on / off by clicking. It toggles between the shaded phrase and the butler phrase, and defaults to the shaded phrase.

Yeah, I saw Tim testing it in a test group a while back, but since I never saw an announcement I assumed they didn't actually release it. Maybe they didn't mean to and it's rogue code.

Huh. Want to hear something really odd? It works in both Chrome and FF if I log in as @brightcopy or @brightcopytest, but not in either if I log in as @calvinjay. Seems like LT is doing something to tie the CSS to the user. When I investigate the CSS when logged in as calvinjay, the new spoiler-specific CSS doesn't show up.
Huh.
Huh.

@MarthaJeanne: Do you have another LT login you can try? Or just look at the page while logged out. When I do that, it also displays with the new spoiler logic.

Want to hear something else really odd? The LT name-matching logic seems to stop as soon as it hits a valid username. The links from @brightcopy and @brightcopytest both just go to @brightcopy (and only the "brightcopy" portion of "brightcopytest" is linkified.)

On the PC with ancient Firefox it worked signed out, but not signed in. Same on the iPad. Bet it has something to do with using the old interface.

I don't think so. I think this has to do with the way he caches/assigns CSS files.

It works with this login on the iPad. (The other computer is off now.)
