I'm getting Running with Rhinos: Stories from a Radical Conservationist by Ed Warner. I feel lucky. A few years ago I was fortunate to photograph, after a long search, a baby rhino and its mama in the Masai Mara in Kenya. Now I get to read about the conservation of this desperately scarce species! I hope the book arrives soon.

I won an ebook by Joan Aiken. Is that sent via email? If so, can you tell me who it will come from. I'm afraid it will end up in spam and I'll miss it.

37JCGirl
Edited: Mar 5, 2016, 2:13 pm

Good point about it might go into spam. I did not even think of that until you mentioned it. I looked up the publisher of my book since the email I received from Loranne that is who will send/email it. I went back to look at the publisher of your book, they are Small Beer Press Publishing. Maybe that will help you. :)

**UPDATE**I just received an email from an individual that works for the publisher of the ebook I won. It did go straight into my inbox and was clearly marked in the subject line what the email was about. Hopefully you will get your email soon and begin to start reading your ebook.

>37 JCGirl: you are the best! Just searched my email for "small beer" and the pdf arrived on Thursday. I have like 700 unread emails. So I sent it to my kindle and there ir is.

I didn't know Joan Aiken was Conrad Aiken's daughter. Or if I did, I forgot.

Precisely my motivation for requesting! Seems I have some catching up to do, though: had no idea there were 5 other books in the series, apart from the two LTER titles. Hoping my library has them so I can catch up and hopefully snag Pharos Gate next month.

Won Bedlam Lost, but no sign of email yet. Was getting worried, as last month's Bogman email arrived fairly quickly after Loranne's winner email. Still find it odd I can bid on March books when Feb not through yet, but will be patient, and hopefully it will arrive soon. :)

>25 lindalou924: I received "Babe in the Woods: Building a Life One Log at a Time by Yvonne Wakefield" as well. I thought the book was pretty good except for the first 10-15 pages which seemed to have no focus to me. It reads like a diary. I am willing to give it a review but cannot do so until the book is for sale somewhere and it can be searched... that is why the touchstones don't work.

54AnnieMod
Mar 10, 2016, 12:14 am

>53 Lynxear:

You can always just add it manually - you do not need to wait for a source to add it...

55Lynxear
Mar 11, 2016, 4:03 am

>54 AnnieMod: well yes, I understand that I can add it manually.... every early reviewer can add-it-manually... we could have maybe 20 instances of this book being added-manually. But which one of them, would a reader considering the book, read??? All 20... I doubt it.

Apparently it will be out for sale in June and then the source will be known and then the title will be searchable. I will wait til June and then if I think about it I will add my review.

>55 Lynxear:

Actually, the various entries would be combined by LT (either automatically or by one of many Combiners who do this sort of thing), and eventually with the various "sources" you usually use.
