Hi there! How does one join a group? I got a link in a email that points to a group but if I first sign in I cannot find the group anymore since there's no way to search the groups.
I see that there's a button for joining in some groups frontpage but not in the one I'm trying to join. The group is Finnish Librarythingers.
Is there an alphabetic list of groups anywhere to be found?

Here's a link (I hope) https://www.librarything.com/groups/finnishlibrarything
I found it by clicking on 'Groups' at the top of the page, then at the side of the group page at the bottom of the list there is an option to view 'complete list' of groups. When that comes up you can sort it alphabetically (I found the group on about page 13).
Good luck
ETA On the individual group front page, at the top right there is an option to join etc. where appropriate (some groups are open to all)

You can also use the regular site search to find groups. Just type your search into the search box at the top right of each page. Once the works have come up, go down the left hand side of the page to groups. I searched for Finnish, and also got https://www.librarything.com/groups/finnishlibrarything.

Note that some groups cannot be joined. "Official and standing groups", such as this one, can only be "watched". Everyone, by virtue of their membership in LT, is considered to be a member of those. There are some groups that are private, "invitation-only", as well.

Hey thanks, I got it, my mistake! No idea why I couldn't find it in the first place in the searchbox.

I think's it's like if a group is really active, then you can't join it. I don't really know sry?

You can join a really active group, as long as it's not an "invitation only" group. Also, official and standing groups cannot be joined, only watched, as everyone is a member of the group by virtue of being a member of LT.
