So, I mistakenly clicked on a link that sent me back to the old (interface, home screen, thingy). You know, the one that is no longer supported. Now I can't find a way to go back to the new version. Can anyone direct me?

Huzzah! I knew it was somewhere, but couldn't find it. Thanks!! (Is it always that easy to return from Hell?)

>3 owlie13: you're best leaving via Trondheim airport, it's a long drive to anywhere else.

For the past month or so, I've the erroneously stuck yellow "LibraryThing went down..." banner covering the upper part of the logo. So I'm guessing I'm using the old interface and I'm fine with moving to the new ones. I don't see how though. As instructed above, when I go to my profile and "look down the page on the right to get out," I don't see anything that might move me to new interface.

>6 aquaticus: Oh, dear. I'd hoped when I saw your post that someone would have come along with a suggestion or two, but I see that your question is still unanswered, and I do not know the answer, having only ever used the new design. I suggest that you ask staff (@Lorannen is a good choice), by posting this question on her profile as a comment.
Sunday was a bad day to ask, and I'm hoping that staff will be back tomorrow (you never know who has things like MLK off, and who works).

I now have the yellow "LibraryThing will be going down in 13 minutes (12:15 PM) for 5-10 minutes" banner. I know updating the old design is apparently not a priority, but will it ever be fixed maybe?

>10 MarthaJeanne: Yeah I posted there already, thanks.

Thanks MarthaJeanne, this worked, of course, and I was in no rush. I would just add the obvious -- for the tech semi-literate, which I head further towards every day -- that the choice is then at the bottom: Use the new design. Use the old design.
Pick "Use the new design" ;-)
I don't see much difference between the two so I'm wondering why the old interface was retained?
I'll add that changing the interface to new design and then back to old design was enough to wipe off the yellow banner. I logged off and logged back on and that banner is now gone.

New to Librarything, pleased and very disappointed by the archaic ways the program handles such a large database. I have emailed the powers that be and was told the program does not do that. I also find the navigation of the site unuser friendly, although if you waste enough time looking you may find what you are looking for. this may sound like a bit of cpmplaining but what my expectations were and what I have are very far apart.
I vist rarely hoping that something has improved but the program sems locked in time with outdated programing and user interface.
