I had 13 doorstoppers for 2016 and may have more for 2017 if I fulfill my goal of getting through a decent number of my Library of America collection. Anticipating that, I may wind up reducing my 2017 ROOTs goal accordingly.
Since I count a BFB as of the date completed, I'll have an early one this year, Mark Twain: Historical Romances. All I have left to read on that one is The Prince and the Pauper (actually, a reread like the other two), and I'm saving it for January for the Reading Through Time group's quarterly read of the 16th Century.

Hi Mike, thanks for the invitation. Hoping to do as you are and combine the ROOTs and chunksters where possible! Good luck with the LoA goal, I hadn't heard of that series but it looks comprehensive and a great resource.
