Finished my first ROOT last night!
1. Beren and Luthien by J. R. R. Tolkien
This is the last book edited by Christopher, and it recounts the evolution of the heart of Tolkien's legendarium. In it his various drafts (narrative and poetic) are laid out in as close to chronological order as Christopher can get them.

Off to a good start this year. I finished off two fantasy ROOTs over the weekend.
2. Ember Falls
Book 2 in a new series about rabbits. Feels a little bit like the Redwall series which I love.
3. Age of Swords
Book 2 in the new fantasy series by Michael J. Sullivan. He's one of my favorite living authors. His Ryria series are great fantasy.

>12 kkunker: I so agree with your thoughts about Mr. Sullivan. Kimberly. Too bad they won't translate him into Dutch as far as I know.

>13 connie53:: I really enjoy his style, I've read all the Riyria books except his newest The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter which I own as a reward from his kickstarter campaign. I'm hoping to get to in the next couple of months.

5. The Fellowship of the Ring
6. Bushcraft First Aid: a field guide to wilderness emergency care
I've fallen behind already, but I'm not too worried. I started a new full time job this month so I've had less free time than before and I'm adjusting to a new schedule. Hoping to pick the pace back up in March.

I hope you're enjoying your new job!

I am enjoying it. I started working in early February as the senior library clerk at the local public library. It's been going pretty well so far, but there's a lot to learn. I've never worked in a library before and now I'm basically running the circulation desk. Thankfully my boss and the clerks I'm supervising are all really nice and helpful.

>18 kkunker: That sounds like an ideal job for a book-lover!

>18 kkunker: >19 connie53: it does sound ideal - I hope you're not too busy to browse the shelves occasionally;)

I have been browsing the shelves a bit, which leads to library books coming home with me. It slows down my ROOTing but that's ok.
I finished one ROOT today.
7. King's Folly
