Guanhumara is looking to her ROOTs

I review a lot of new books, so I joined this group to remind me to give some love to the ones I already have!
On that basis, 1 ROOT per month seems a reasonable rate.

I am counting anything owned pre-2018.

Thank you all for the welcome!

January is off to a good start - although, to be fair, I had started this book in 2017 *blushes*

1. Shadowblack by Sebastien de Castell (4 stars)
352 pages
publ. 2017

A sequel to a YA book, Spellslinger, that was one of my favourite fantasy reads of 2017. Not quite as good as the first, but then my expectations had been set very high. Certainly a series I want to persist with.

>11 Guanhumara: It counts if you finish it in 2018. No need to blush!

Thank you! I haven't disappeared. Real Life has just been hitting me hard - enough for even 2017 to not seem so bad in retrospect! - so I have not had much time for reading.

Maybe next year, when things are better for you.
