That site is great -- our whole faculty was hooked on it for a while :) I got up to level 50 a couple of times.

Great fun and apparently useful. Better than swatting hamsters or whatever. Got to 52 but couldn't stay there.

Wonderful site - we found it early on and all of my students played it incessantly - which was good of course, except they didn't get any work done. That's okay - they were learning. If I made it to 50 it was fleeting, but I was consistently in the high 40s! Of course, the whole thing made me wonder why the companies involved could not just donate the rice in the first place. I guess it is an advertising write-off, so to speak. But whatever gets it done!

Glad to see others have heard of the site (...and I'll shamefacedly admit that my high was only 47!)

I thought I had a decent vocab, but I hover around mid 40s. Maybe I need to spend longer playing.
Not totally convinced about all it's equivalencies either, though it is much easier to pick a meaning out of a list than think of one when there is just that word.

That's a great site and I think I'll be visiting it a lot, as though I needed another site to get hooked on.
My high score was only 42 *shame* but it turns out I knew some words I didn't know I knew so I was still pleased.

I was in the process of seeing if I wanted to join this group when your link distracted me! I got over 1000 grains of rice when my internet connection reset suddenly and I had to start the game over!

I'm still addicted to this game.

oh no, not something else addictive to take me away from reading! I got up to 55 today, but it doesn't seem to go any higher. Perhaps that's the limit, or perhaps it's my limit! I don't know most of the words above level 45 or so - the rest is pure guesswork plus memorization. But in the meantime I've learned some lovely new words. The puns and silly associations of the wrong choices can also be amusing. I like "kill a Brooklynite" for "moider." Any other choice ones you've found?
11QueenOfDenmark
I haven't seen that one but I am not as good as you, my levels are really low *blush* I like that one though, it's very funny.
12Nycticebus
oh, don't worry about the levels - it's just a matter of individual variation in how sticky our memories are. For whatever strange reason, I tend to remember words. Don't ask me for directions, though!
