I will be traveling but that means lots of listening time, so I will be participating and checking in from time-to-time along the way. When I get there I intend to spend lots of time reading.

I'm in!
My sis and her husband coming here this weekend and my Irish family dinner tomorrow but I'll find time to read.
After finishing Harry's Trees which I loved, having trouble finding the next great book . .
Maybe The Catch by Alison Fairbrother? Or The Ruin of Kings?

I read Ruin of Kings a year ago and really liked it. I have now read three of the books in the series and have liked all of them. I just checked out House of Always to read next month because I am determined to finish the series before I forget what happened in the first book!

Thursday night update
Books read from: All the President's Gardens: Madison's Cabbages to Kennedy's Roses - How the White House Grounds Have Grown with America by Marta McDowell. As I drove around town today doing errands I continue to listen to German Wife by Kelly Rimmer.

Book Thoughts: I haven't done much reading today as I am leaving tomorrow. I won't do much posting the next two days because I will be driving, but will post when I can.

Time reading: 1 hour.
Time posting:
Food: leftovers because I am trying to empty the refrigerator.
Total books finished since the Read-A-Thon Began: 305
Total Time Reading since the Social Distancing read-a-thon began: 836 hours since I started doing the weekend Read-A-Thon back in April of 2020.

I'm in again.

I'm definitely going to try to readathon this weekend. 1) I'm sick, so it's a good time to sit, 2) it's not a D&D weekend
10Carmenere
Feeling a little under the weather so I’ll just cozy up to Marcellus the Octopus in Remarkable Bright Creatures for Monday’s book club.

After what passes for a busy week for me, I am ready to settle into a weekend. I need to finish A Woman of No Importance and am then thinking about The Luminaries or a Daphne DuMaurier trilogy. Just want to chill out and read ;-)
I am listening to Summer at the Little Beach Street Bakery during dog walks and chores.

I hope to have a little more time for reading this weekend than I did last weekend, but it may not be much more. It has turned colder after a long stretch of spring-like weather, so, even though it's sunny out, I'm not keen on spending much time outdoors. Maybe I'll get motivated to go for a long walk later. I really need the exercise.
My cousin's 18-year-old daughter is visiting a friend in Knoxville. She wants to get together tomorrow, so we'll meet for lunch somewhere yet to be decided. This is Zoom book club weekend, so I'll have that tomorrow evening.
Books read from: The Coldest Case, Great Short Books, All Passion Spent

I bombed Saturday by reading not at all.

I meant to tag on but Friday included a late doctor's appointment, and I woke up exhausted Saturday and slept until noon. I did manage to finish A Woman of No Importance: The Untold Story of the American Spy Who Helped Win World War II and then started the next book in the Donna Leon Brunetti series: Wilful Behavior. I was awake *very* early due to too much sleep and the time change so finished it before breakfast. I may go ahead and start the next Leon.

Today I went to church, had lunch with my cousin and her friend, took a long nap, and participated in a Zoom book club.

Non-book activities: canine entertainment - and walking in circles, V-8'ing my forehead, and staring out the window empty-headed. Just waiting for a decent weekend to prune the shrubbery.

I extended my reading into this morning and finished The King's Inquisitor.
Besides reading, I've been watching tennis and helping a professor friend enter research citations into a shared database. I can now *do* APA 7 formatting without looking it up.

Why don't you use a Citation Manager that will do all that for you? Something like RefWorks or Zotero. Zotero is free and out there on the web. It will format a complete bibliography and will dump thousands of citations into an excel file for you.

Monday late afternoon update
Books read from: I started reading Dance With the Devil by Kit Rocha last night. My main reading book for today was Empires of Light: Edison, Tesla, Westinghouse, and the Race to Electrify the World by Jill Jonnes which I didn't manage to finish in time for the book discussion yesterday afternoon. As I was driving to Kansas I listened to and finished Lady in Gold by Anne-Marie O’Connor and started listening to Broken Throne by Victoria Aveyard.
Books finished in this weekend's Readathon: German Wife by Kelly Rimmer. All the President’s Gardens by Marta McDowell. Lady in Gold by Anne-Marie O'Connor
Book Thoughts: Driving is quality time with recorded books. I knew I didn't have much left to read in the President's Gardens book, but was surprised to finish it Sunday morning while taking a coffee break along the road.
Non-Book activities: I started unpacking my car and wanted to bake a cake to take to Mom this afternoon, but no eggs in the frig. Called my cousins who have chickens and got a dozen eggs. Spent a good deal of time resting today and getting ready for tomorrow and will bake that cake tomorrow.
Time reading: 6 hours of driving/listening time.

>26 benitastrnad: Because Zotero and other managers do only an OK job at APA 7 formatting, and my colleagues is a stickler. I started with that and she sent back corrections ;-) Most of the journal websites have citation generators, too. I use them for the starter but still have to editt them. As for the database import, we're using Wordpress, and I have a plugin I might be able to use to do a bulk upload, but I've done enough importing to know it will require experimenting. We had a deadline and copying and pasting was actually the most efficient way to do the work.
