Most likely a short story - but not sure.
A man keeps being killed and being reborn in a cloned body. His memories are restored as well but only as of his latest neural backup which of course doesn't include any memories of his murder. This part is similar to Katie Williams My Murder
The main character wants to stop his killer. He is renowned composer/conductor but in the future, the most prized entertainment events are not composed of simply music but instead of a combo of music and weather (technology has advanced to the point that even local weather can be completely controlled).
In the end the main character is conducting and he is confronted by his killer(s) who turn out to be previous imperfect clones of himself.
