Started three books: Omgivet af idioter, Vølvens vej - Snehild and The night circus.
Vølvens vej is for the calendar challenge, the rest I think fits onto one or another square in the bingodog challenge.

I knocked off Six Characters in Search of an Author by Luigi Pirandello for my January PrizeCAT.
I’m always reading way too many books at once, but ones I’ve recently started are The Rabbit Hutch (for my Tournament of Books category) and Sisters of the Forsaken Stars by Lina Rather, an SF author I’ve just discovered who I’ve been enjoying.
>13 sturlington: I have Cackle as an audiobook. I’ll be interested to hear what you think of it.
>16 amberwitch: I was thinking about reading The Mountain in the Sea for one of my SFF categories. Your tags for it alone make it sound intriguing!

23majkia
My library hold of the audio of The Book That Wouldn't Burn came through earlier than expected, so that's starting my year. Also reading York: The Shadow Cipher. Both are about books and puzzles so I'm finding I'm a bit confused at times, lol.
24staci426
I am working on The Magus by John Fowles and The Best American Noir of the Century edited by James Ellroy. I am also planning on starting a reread of The Black Company by Glen Cook.

I'm continuing reading Why We Love Baseball by Joe Posnanski which my husband and I received as a joint Christmas gift. About to go back to reading Necessary Trouble by Drew Gilpin Faust for one of my book clubs.
28pamelad
I'm reading Twilight by Julia Frankau who wrote about Jewish life in London as Frank Danby. From her brief Wikipedia biography, she sounds like a free thinker. This is her last book, published in 1916.
I'm also reading an historical romance from NetGalley, by an author I've read before. It's not holding my interest, but I'll have to finish it and write a constructive review.

I am working my way through the complete Franka graphic novel series in preparation for a square in the BingoDog challenge (it was prompted by the "A book from one of the libraries listed under the "Similar libraries" featured on your LT profile page", but really because I've felt like re-reading the older works, and reading the ones that has been published in the last .. 15 years)
33threadnsong
I read in 3 evenings All That Is Mine I Carry With Me that was recommended from a LT friend and I received it for Christmas. Next up is Three Blind Mice and I'll also be reading Pan: The Great God's Modern Return over the next little bit.

57lsh63
I finished The Quiet Tenant which left me a little underwhelmed. I'm still reading The Rachel Incident and hope to get to some of the other books I slated for this month. My reading has been going slowly so far this month, but I hope to pick up the pace soon.
58JayneCM
Starting House of Odysseus, the second book in the Songs of Penelope trilogy.
59hailelib
I’m making progress on Sense and sensibility but it’s an old paperback and the very small print is slowing me down.
60christina_reads
I'm starting Death Comes to the Fair, book #4 in the Kurland St. Mary series by Catherine Lloyd.
61LadyoftheLodge
I finished A Summer at Sea by Katie Fforde, and enjoyed it very much.
Also finished The Amish Quiltmaker's Unlikely Match by Jennifer Beckstrand, which had a real twist on the usual Amish romance novel.
Currently reading a Kindle Unlimited Murder and Cake: Royal Appointment by Luna Snow. There are a lot of typos! In addition, there is a story within the story, and this is not set apart in any way using a different font or italics, so that was very confusing at first. This is a fun and humorous read but needs an editor!!

I'm being a book tart. I Started The Seabird's cry on paper, but as hardback, I decided it was too big & heavy to take on the train to London (what with everything else I'd have in my handbag), so I'm also now half way through The Night hawks.
Still listening to A History of Treason finished the Tudors, the gun powder plot & the execution of King Charles I.

>72 amberwitch: I had to look up what TRAF means (I'm assuming it's this?), and it makes sense why you'd do that with these books! I'm nearly finished The Wizard Hunters now...it's well written and entertaining, but I'm finding it pretty put-down-able, if that makes sense. I find I have less patience than I used to for these big, beefy fantasy novels.
74amberwitch
>73 christina_reads: good thinking om the traf. But really it is just me being too lazy to change language setting so the autocorrect changes my English “read” to the Danish word traf (met).
All I wanted to say was that I love the Wizard hunter trilogi so much that I have re-read again and again. Sorry for the confusion.

I finished Babel-17, which I really enjoyed (enough that I may now have the courage to try Dhalgren), and I’ve started two new books: Cat Brushing for the “author over 65” BingoDog square, and then Broken Monsters because Cat Brushing is depressing and I thought some gruesome murders would cheer me right up.

81christina_reads
I'm reading The Truth-Teller's Tale by Sharon Shinn, which so far is a pleasantly low-stakes fantasy novel.
82LadyoftheLodge
I read Murder and Cakes: Orange Marmalade Cake Murder. This was a thankfully easy and quick read, and seemed as if it was written by a teenager. Lots of word errors and confusing information.
I’m now reading The Amish Matchmakers which is so far a hilarious story of two elderly sisters who try to match up the same guy for each other.

Finished both The Dorito Effect: The Surprising New Truth About Food and Flavor (by Mark Schatzker) - NF book about how “natural” and artificial flavors are added to bland foods to trick our brains into eating nutritionally poor foods and;
The Monster of Florence (by Douglas Preston & Mario Spezi; narrated by Dennis Boutsikaris) - NF account of the still unidentified serial killer who shot couples in their cars. Starting in 1968 and continuing through 1985, the “Monster of Florence” (Italy) would murder 14 people and his gruesome ritual after the slayings would become the inspiration for Thomas Harris’s Hannibal Lector. Twenty years later, the two authors of this book would become embroiled in the still ongoing investigation.
I also knocked out a romance novel, Beautiful Graves (by L. J. Shen) - A second chance novel which is a departure from the author’s signature a**hole boyfriend type. Not my favorite story as the female protagonist Everlynne was pretty much a mess throughout and didn’t really seem to redeem herself convincingly; but the story was engaging for breathing life into the characters and an old trope.
Just started Apollo in the Age of Aquarius (by Neil M. Maher; narrated by L. J. Ganser) - NF about NASA’s Apollo program in the context of the 1960s counter culture and;
The Rise and Fall of Dinosaurs: A New History of Their Lost World (by Steve Brusatte) - Yes, more NF!
