lindapanzo is reading her usuals again in 2025

I'm back for 2025. I started doing categories back with the 999 challenge in 2009. With the pandemic, I've found that simplifying is ideal for me and so, for 2025, I intend to keep the same four categories I had in 2022, 2023. and 2024. At some point, I lost my creativity but I do know what I like and these categories are it!!

Category 1: Mysteries--65 books read (out of 65)
Category 2: Sports--10 books read (out of 10)
Category 3: Nonfiction--10 books read (out of 10)--COMPLETED
Category 4: Fiction--15 books read (out of 15)--COMPLETED

Happy New Year!! Here's hoping that 2025 is a great reading year for all of us.

Besides finishing my first book of the year early this morning, I started picking out some of my Thingaversary books. Always a fun time of the year for me.

>15 lowelibrary: >16 thornton37814: >17 beebeereads: Thanks for stopping by. Have a great reading year.

My reading year started well but then, last Friday, out of the blue, I was felled by the raging norovirus which is widespread in this area (and others too, sounds like). I slept pretty much two days straight then felt weak from two days of water and Gatorade only.

Better now, though a bit run down.

My Thingaversary list is almost completely filled in.

Sorry to hear you've been hit by a bug. The key is let your body recoup completely otherwise you go down again. A couple of years ago I had pneumonia for three months quite severely because it didn't get knocked out completely with the first round of medicine.

My Thingaversary book list is complete!!

Just a dusting of snow today. So weird to think that areas like St Louis and Nashville are getting all the snow, not us.

>21 lindapanzo: We were supposed to get 4 to 6 inches, and many of the local meteorologists had us in a strip for 7 inches plus. Let's just say that we had cold dry air in place which caused most of it to evaporate before hitting the ground. It's too dark to see how much we will really end up with, but it was about an inch when I checked around dark. It was still snowing then, but if we get two inches, I'll be shocked.

It seems unbelievable to me that I haven't posted in my own thread for 4+ months. Wow!!

It's been a good, though somewhat slow, reading year for me so far. However, I am spreading my books out throughout my categories in the category challenge.

Doing pretty well with all of my categories, though nonfiction is lagging just a bit. Once I finish the sports category, I can use some (most?) sports books I read after that into the nonfiction category.

Nonfiction was lagging so I decided to re-do the needed book totals. Just not that into nonfiction in 2025, it seems. So I moved 5 books from nonfiction to mysteries.

My nonfiction category is now my first (of the four) completed categories!!

Still to finish are mysteries and sports.
