Anisha Inkspill's 2025 Roots

This year my target is 62 books, 55 roots and 7 nonroots

I read a mix of fiction & nonfiction, classic & contemporary. This year my main focus is Jane Austen, Bloomsbury Group, reading poetry, continuing with mythology, and trying to read a bit more science. I'm not very good at stickling to my plan, but I try.

You Can't Keep a Good Woman Down: Stories I loved the range of short stories in this collection by Alice Walker
Stone Blind Medusas Story second read, I really like how Natalie Haynes retells Greek myths putting women back in the centre of teh story.
Xingu a witty short read, made me laugh
Iphigenia Among the Taurians Not the easiest translations but I know this story and the poetry is beautiful
But Is It Art?: An Introduction to Art Theory Philosophising art, thought provoking.
Brief Answers to the Big Questions friendly read to get to the other Stephen Hawking books.

Hi Anisha. Did you get your ticker to work? I know tickers have been doing funny things in the first half of the year. Now it sometimes flickers a bit, but closing and reopening works for me if that's what you have been struggling with.

I appreciate the rules are no messages / words -- so wondering if adding emoji's as my count would work?

It's just that I spend too much time trouble tech when I would rather just read my books. As I write this I am laughing at myself as I am amused of how many minutes already I have spent on this today.
