I am curious for those of you who read in bed, what are your suggestions about lighting. I mean old fashioned books (not ereaders though they are great for reading without waking your partner) I have one that goes around my neck but it bothers me after awhile. Suggestions? Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

Years ago, my son gave me a LightWedge which lights the whole page. Still using it, still happy with it.

What kind of neck light do you use? I've had the Glocusent Book Light (https://a.co/d/e8jCezJ) recommended to me, because of its adjustability. The two ends can be angled so each page receives the same amount of light - that's something I always hated about my clip-on lights.

>1 stefepaul: I use old-fashioned plug in light on a clip. I have my old one from age 12 in one room; a newer flexible-neck LED bulb; and a travel one that clips onto book (LED) and unfolds

>1 stefepaul: I use these rechargeable LEDs. I stuck the base over my bed and swap the lights whenever one needs a recharge.

I don’t use it much, because reading in bed sends me to sleep very rapidly, but years ago someone gave me a Philips “My Reading Light”, which works like the front light on an e-reader and seemed like a very good solution to the problem.
It’s a battery pack and LED attached to a sheet of transparent plastic that you lay over the page (good for a full paperback page or about half a typical hardback page) and it shines light down onto the paper. They don’t seem to be available any more, but you might be able to find something similar.

Thanks for the feedback! I ordered a flat book light and though it said it scratches easily, going to try it!

I got an LED light off amazon that clips onto the bed. It has an adjustable neck so it can point right at the book, and you can turn the brightness up or down and it changes colors (slightly reddish, slightly bluish, and mostly white). It was this one: Zoomable LED Reading Lights for Bed Headboard, Clip on Spotlight Lamp for Desk, Dorm Bed, Dimmable USB Clamp Book Light with Flexible Gooseneck, Adjustable Beam Angle 15°-80°. I bought two, one for reading and one for cross stitch. I love it!
