Spring Treasure Hunt errors

Over on the Spring Treasure Hunt talk page https://www.librarything.com/topic/370187 there are many reports of members finding the clues but the credit not showing up on the hunt page.

I am also having this issue. I left it alone for a day, but it persists.

1 - 3 -5 - 8 - 10 - 11 - 12 so far (dont work)

I have 12 earned; but they dont get crossed through

(is it ever a hunt without some odd, but new, bug?)

I’ve also found all 12 seedlings according to the banner but only 5 showing as found on the treasure hunt page.

I have the same “seedlings found” error happening. Mine stopped striking out found clues at seven seedlings found but I have found 9 for sure. The nine is temporarily given credit if I consecutively re-enter pages, but not kept permanently. The clue guesses I’m feeling certain of I don’t feel certain I have gotten credit for landing on the correct page as landing properly doesn’t always receive a permanent “seedling found” update.

Oh! I didn't know this was a thing, was there meant to be a banner or something?

Also, while on the subject, are there still supposed to be badges for completing these things? I never got one from the Valentine's one.

Edit: And, oops, forgot to say that I'm having the same problem. I've "found" the 8th one 3 times now, for example.

I have the same issue. When I locate the page, it says I have 11 of 12 seedlings. On the clue page, it only shows 8 seedlings. None of the ones I found have been updated.

I have absolutely no problem waiting (and I don't know that I care that much either way), it just seems like if it is still not done by the time the next hunt begins, and if it's too much work to automate it, maybe it would be better to just stop doing it?

(I've now found all 12 seedlings. The page still says 5/12.)

I want to report that I have the same problem. The answers I found 2 days ago are all correctly showing on my Spring Treasure Hunt page. I had found 9 then. Yesterday afternoon I returned to the hunt and found the three I had skipped the previous day, and I got banners for all three stating that I found a seedling, but the Spring Treasure Hunt page did not update and the three I found are not crossed off.

No change for my count. Still 5 unaccounted for.

But really, who would be surprised to find bugs where you have seedlings!

I had to add humor, it’s been ‘bugging’ me since last night.

Also experiencing this for the last two clues I solved, #1 and #12.

I've noticed the same problem. I think I've found all twelve pages with banners (and my count has updated on those banners), but on the page for the hunt, it still says I only found five seedlings.

I got all 12, and it's showing correctly in the Hunt page. All the clues are strikethrough, apart from line 3 of clue 1...

Still not working for me.

It is Easter Sunday - most likely noone is working in the office so it won't be fixed before some time on Monday.

2, 4, 6, 7, & 9 are the ones that are correctly marked for me. The division is "works" (don't register) vs. other types of pages (tags, lists, etc, etc.)

I made a list of the 12 answers, but revisiting them doesn't give me a higher count, so 14 out of 12 it is :-)

I also know why there's doubles. I will work on fixing the data once we have a solution. No need to keep trying to get them to work.

I believe this should be fixed now. Please let me know if you find any other discrepancies!

Confirmed fixed. I have all 12 seedlings and not 14. And the target pages and the result page agree on that :-)

It's April 23, and I still don't have a seedling at #7 where a banner showed up to say I had discovered the correct answer.

I quit trying to solve other clues, waiting for the bugs to be fixed. Maybe for some other members this was resolved but not for me.

I did refresh my cache and reloaded pages, but no joy.

Funny that, because when I started to play the Hunt, I solved #1 first, before looking for another clue that I might solve quickly.
Which explains why *I* didn't see what the solution banner meant when I was looking for #7's answer.

Perhaps-maybe there could be (in the next Hunt) something to indicate "you already solved this clue"? Just an idea.

>41 SandyAMcPherson: #1 was one of the clues caught in the original bug that was solved here. So I suspect that misled you a bit. :) Good luck working though the rest of them. And #7 is indeed an easy one - just remember that LT is not Just records of books. :)

I didn't start the hunt until after the other bugs mentioned here were fixed, but I have a very minor, funny new one:

For clue #1, after I have answered it correctly lines 1,2, and 4 are crossed out, but line 3 ("A springtime frolic in this sweet book,") is not. I guess I got that one 3/4 correct 😂
