Find GR friends, let them know you are here and reconnect

Here is where you can look for your GR friends that are also on LT.

My member name on GR is Debi Cates.

After you've added your GR and LT name here, then click on the group's name linked above, i.e. Welcome Goodreaders to LibraryThing. That will take you to the group's main page (part of the site's "Talk"). There you can search a friend's GR name in the Search Topics search box.

Reconnect by DMing them. I'm sure they'll be happy you are here, ready for continued reading adventures.

Im trying to teach myself how to navigate this and having issues. Ha, its only been 10 minutes. Need to get my books on here and dont have the patience as I did years ago.

If Goodreads further deteriorates maybe that will chance and hopefully some will chose this site. I've given up all the other sites I've tried in the last 12 years.

It has about the same number of users as LT (3+million) but far fewer than GR (150 million). It has a reputation for being easy to navigate, but at the time I tried it a few years back, it also had less social amenities. Like all book platforms, you are able to import your books from GR.

Please let me know if any of the bugs in this thread are still being experienced.

Allowing groups links mitigates a part of the hard slam of the original announcement.

DMs are still going away. And looks like it means links won't be allowed elsewhere (reviews? review comments?) and the same with images I would assume.
