Tooltips for Styles in "Your Books"

I would like freely definable tooltips for styles A to E as a memory aid to document the advantages and purposes of each style.
For example: |Main View, "User"|, |Editable|, |Series & Genres|, |with CK| etc.

And if one or two more styles could be defined, that would be a great addition.

You can chose how you want yours. I ca chose how I want mine. If you want, you can define them on your profile.

But your "A" style may be different from my "A" style, since, as >2 MarthaJeanne: points out, each user can define a style differently.

I think the OP would like a tooltip we can individually fill in to remind us what each is essentially for. Freely definable was the giveaway.

>3 lilithcat: I think the idea is for everyone to be able to add their toolip. I'd love it, can never remember beyond A and B since I don't use them often.

I believe there's already an RSI for this, I'll try to find it
ETA https://www.librarything.com/topic/63630#1239429 similar, only about actually renaming the styles, rather then just defining tooltips

Thank you >5 SandraArdnas:

That's exactly what I wanted.
I just couldn't describe it as well as you did.

I am all for this! It would be great.

In the same settings where we define the columns, we could type in up to 20 characters or whatever to characterize the catalog style.

Can something like that be set up so that if the label is empty the whole thing doesn't show up?

That way it's basically opt in, and the rest of us could just ignore it.

>8 MarthaJeanne: I'd expect that's how tooltips normally work, there's no point in empty ones popping up on hover
