Publisher: Harlequin

I have to admit that I am very disappointed that this eBook is via a 3rd Party Reviewers Site -- NetGalley -- and has an expiration LOAN period on it. This isn't winning a free book in exchange for a review. I could have borrowed it from my local library for less hassle and without having to register for another SPAM generator to read it. I will be avoiding books from this publisher in future selections.

I'm SO excited about this one!!! yay!!

I note that the cover info says "All reviews should be scheduled to run after" the publication date, which is 4/27. Does that mean I shouldn't post my review on LT until then?? or does that only apply to "professional" reviews?

Packaging: Priority mail envelope w/ bubble wrapping
Destination: Chantilly, VA
Format: Softback "Advance Uncorrected Proof" - no cover photo

On the front cover it says " Please note that books will not be available in stores until the above on - sale date. All reviews should be scheduled to run after that date." (the date is June 22, 2010) Does that mean I shouldn't publish my review until that date. I thought the entire purpose was to read and post as quickly as possible to generate enthusiasm. What should I do?

#42 - I would post your review to LT as soon as you write it. You could interpret "All reviews should be scheduled to run after that date" to mean that they want all reviews in place by that date. If you post reviews other places (a blog, Amazon, B&N) maybe wait until on or closer to the sell date. (Glad it's on it's way as that's the book I'm waiting for too!!)

AnneWK-91>> Yes, I did see that review. I'm still very interested in reading the book, but the review did contain a big "spoiler" that turned me off a little bit. However, the dust jacket promises a novel that is a cross between Dickens and Tom Wolfe, so even if the premise is a little off-putting it could still be an enjoyable read.

browner, I'm glad you mentioned the spoiler. I haven't read the review, and now I won't read it before my reading and ER review. Thanks for mentioning it!

I received Halloween: New Poems by Al Sarrantonio on April 14th, but for some reason I can't add it to my library. I've tried ISBN, title, etc. It's like the book doesn't exist!

Since I can't add it, I can't review it. Has anyone else had this problem?

123Bcteagirl
Jul 13, 2010, 11:35 am

I found this:
http://www.librarything.com/work/7907939

by searching author name in LT... it seems to have be a recently combined author, I hope that is not part of the problem. Not sure if that will allow you to review it or not.
