Fantasy. Fiction. Literature. Science Fiction. HTML:A trilogy bundle (three ebooks in one) of the internationally celebrated speculative fiction trilogy from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Handmaid's Tale.

Across three stunning novelsâ??Oryx and CrakeThe Year of the Flood, and Maddaddamâ??the best-selling, Booker Prize-winning novelist projects us into a near future that is both all too familiar and beyond our imagining.

In Oryx and Crake, a man struggles to survive in a world where he may be the last human. In search of answers, he embarks on a journey through the lush wilderness that was so recently a great city, until powerful corporations took mankind on an uncontrolled genetic engineering ride. In The Year of the Flood the long-feared waterless flood has occurred, altering Earth as we know it and obliterating most human life. And in Maddaddam a small group of survivors band together with the Children of Crake: the gentle, bioengineered quasi-human species who will inherit this new earth.

Set in a darkly plausible future shaped by plagues, floods, and genetic engineering, these three novels take us from the end of the world to a brave new beginning. Thrilling, moving, and a triumph of imagination, the Maddaddam Trilogy confirms the ultimate endurance of humanity, community, and love.

Margaret Atwood's MaddAddam trilogy of speculative fiction novels spans a landscape of decision trees ranging from community to anomie, and from enlightenment to narcissistic rage. Choices ... which will Homo sapiens sapiens decide to pursue? Set in the later 21st century, a number of Earth's dominant species must contend with global instability in scientific developments, food supplies, climate, and pandemic threats.

Each novel follows many characters as they confront difficult choices, both on their home turf and in faraway realms. Each of these three novels creates a rich experience that yields many startling insights.

Plot Spoiler: With so many variables to juggle across three novels, the discovery of only one inconsistency is an achievement that can inspire many of us to remove our hats in respect. In the second novel, on page 105, it is stated that "Katuro the Wrench used to be an internist." (In North America, an internist is a physician whose specialty is Internal Medicine.) In the third novel, Katuro is one of the novel's surviving characters, at least at that time, yet in the dialogue of two other characters, it is stated, "But before that, I need to do some consulting." "With who? None of our brainiacs are doctors."

As one book reviewer put it, (the novel MaddAddam) is not just "futuristic visions, it's really all about the here and now." Yesssss, and that's why every minute it takes to read all three novels is time well spent. ( )
