What a way to start a marriage. She Lina was seduced right before she found out that her "husband" married her under a false name and was a bigamist. In order to avoid scandal - she sails from Salem to England to stay with her aunt and uncle. By the time she arrives in England she finds out that she is pregnant.
Flynn is about to propose to an eligible woman when he finds out that his father is dead and has lost a fortune at cards - no doubt because of cheating by the Duke of Waterford (who also happens to be Lina's uncle).
The Duke offers to forgive the debt if Flynn with marry his niece. The plot continues from there. While Lina and Flynn must accept that the Duke's proposal is the best for both of their families they also come to enjoy being with each other.
Things get worse before they get better but they eventually get the Happily Ever After that they both deserve.

passable romance - likable enough characters - doesn't properly address problems raised (but at least admits they are problems) - doesn't differentiate fully between love and lust - some sensual content - frank bedroom scene
probably wont read more by author ( )
