This is a graphic novel which takes the third most published Inklings author into a more esoteric realm than the other two, C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien wrote about. But the latter two figure significantly in these pages as they fight the spectre of Aleister Crowley and the happenings at Rennes-le-Chateau. This aludes quite a bit to the book, "Holy Blood, Holy Grail." The proceedins take place in 1938, just before World War II. The story is an interesting exrpolation of the Inklings and makes them a force in the world's happenings. ( )

If you know anything about the Inklings or Charles Williams you'll be immediately engaged otherwise it might take someone a bit to catch on to this cleverly researched, cerebral encounter with the occult. ( )
