Not always easy to parse--these are philosophers not poets. But always thought-provoking and insightful.
This book helps keep me grounded on isms, arguments, counter-arguments, reasoning and its limitations. I find it more and more useful as time goes on as and I try to learn more about philosophy and thinking.
Basically a really nice textbook and nothing more. A bit too dry if you want to read it for fun.
Rather simplistic even for popular philosophy, although probably good for reference
nice, but one might have to actually understand philosophy before being able to meaningfully navigate this book. probably wholly worthwhile as a companion to a beginning philosophy class or proseminar.
