An amazing graphic work showing the history of the planet Earth from the big bang, to the formation of the planet, the beginnings of life and the life of each subsequent geological age., Jens Harder has diligently rendered dinosaurs, landscapes, foliage, ice ages. This is visual Big History. This volume finishes at the dawn of humankind.
My only reservation is the inclusion of various religious and other human images in the earlier geological ages. The author (though not particularly religious) said he included them to break up the other pictures but it didn't work for me.
