Retired superheros are mysteriously attacked.
Snyder's slow-motion is annoying, and the action scenes are boring (luckily there aren't many of them), but for the most part he did surprisingly well by just taking what was on the page and putting it on screen. It should have been a miniseries, though. The book is episodic, and they follow the book's structure, so it feels like the movie was edited from a miniseries.
