An intriguing account of Indian civilization and its facets. I recommend it for people who want general background information on the subject. It is informative and fluid. Well done.
Again, the writers of Time-Life have taken a period and locale of no particular interest to me, and made it a source of fascination while I was reading the book. Includes a few nice photos of the interior of the Taj Mahal. Roughly from 2500 b.c. to 1700 a.d.

This was an easy to read history that provided a simple introduction to the complex history of India. If nothing else, it was a good place to start.
A vivid and detailed history of India.
