This is one of the first of his books that I read. This guy is fabulous!
Thank you for your interest. I think your library and your involvement. I hope to put more time in mine in the coming months. Dennis
Hi! Sorry for taking so long to reply - I usually only end up on Librarything nowadays when I'm adding books to my catalog or rating them. To respond to your question, I have read Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton, and I did enjoy it quite thoroughly. I didn't realize that he'd come out with a new biography on Washington, though; I'll definitely have to pick it up (but probably not for quite a while - I just ransacked the nearest Borders going-out-of-business sale and now have quite the stack of books to read.)
Thank you for contacting me and adding me to your friends list. I see you're also a big history fan like me, and you enjoy the classics as well. Ann Arbor is really nice: it's not too big and not to small to have cultural activities, especially affiliated with the university. I hope you'll get a copy of Velvet Totalitarianism and that you'll enjoy reading it. But even if you don't in this giveaway lottery, I'm planning to post 20 additional review copies of the book from my publisher in the future. Best wishes, Claudia
Hey, your library's not shabby either! You work at a used bookstore??? *swoon* You lucky duck!

The number of books read in a year really is relative. I actually feel like I'm a bit behind in my reading; I've been so busy lately and so involved in various nonfiction reads for Bible studies and other things that my fiction reading has been pretty sluggish lately. I have a huge backlog on my computer desk at home, the "on-deck" books that are patiently awaiting their turn to be read. Poor things; I'm a neglectful owner!

I see you're new-ish to LT. Isn't it great? If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them. I'm not really an expert but I've been here awhile and if I don't know the answer, I can probably point you to someone who does. But you look like you've got a good working knowledge of the site.
Hey, I was just passing by and noticed your profile pic. That's so cool!
