Oh my gawd I loved being back in the It's Raining Royals world as you are always guaranteed a great story and fantastic characters! Neither Camille nor Louis were happy about the pretend marriage but what they would gain from it has them agreeing. The banter between the two whether it is lashing out due to frustrations or in the moments when they let themselves enjoy each others company, mix that in with the things they start to unearth about the tragic fire and danger that may lurk makes show more for a page turner with plenty of emotions to go through. I also never did like Angie and have a feeling there was more to her than some jealousy!.

Don't you just hate it when powerful leaders take advantage of the weak to get their way? After all of this time there was no justice for the poor! I hated Uletk with all my heart and he is just a character in the author's head! I liked that Sebi was good war leader, but he dwell too much on the men who died under him in war. I liked the sassy laundress Etana Tidryn knew with every fiber of he being that she had to save him from beheading as she knew that he was innocent of the charges, and show more I can't wait to read the next book! show less

What a fun read! Kind of a romantic comedy mixed with international heist. The chemistry between Max and Lucie is combustible. They do crack me up. I mean Max's family needs to take a chill pill. Prophecy, schnophecy, pshaw, haha, what will that do, says Max. Lucie just goes along with what she thinks she is supposed to do and they have the adventure of a lifetime. They also have some steamy times on their adventures. As I mentioned, this is a quick read that is quite entertaining and a bit show more steamy in spots. You won't be disappointed. It's well-written and laid out. I'm looking forward to seeing how things are laid out for Max's brothers. i'm hoping for more fun adventures down the road. show less

Alix Nichols is a new discovery of mine.  Little by little I have been trying her books and it looks like I've found a winner.   A good read to me has three main characteristics: the main characters have to entrance me, the story has to captivate me and it has to be a feast for the senses.  Seduction is a good start but it needs to offer more emotion than heat. I am voluntarily reviewing an show more Advance Reader Copy of The Darcy Brothers series. The Darcy Brothers series gave me exactly what I needed to fall in love.  A tempting hero, a spirited heroine all held together by heart.  Ms. Nichols sets out to charm and that is a temptation in itself.  The Darcy Men are mysterious, mischievous and masterful at controlling their own destiny.  It takes women of strength to show them that vulnerability is not a weakness but an aphrodisiac.  Anytime I start reading and finish a novel in one sitting, it has to be good.
