Ms. Rozema book is enlightening as it tells the story of the Trail of Tears from several perspectives, and it details the "mechanics" of how this dark tragedy happened.
I learned a lot from reading this book; my only downside was that I had trouble keeping track of all the principal people involved.

In this book she gathers new paper articles, letters, journal entries from soilders, Cherokee representatives(both treaty party and nontreaty party), ministers and doctors involved in the removal of the Cherokee Indians in the trail of tears to let them tell the story of how it happened. It also explains the story behind why the Eastern Band was allowed to stay in North Carolina.
