On balance, a pretty good biography of the newspaper titan. At first blush, the sheer amount of space given over to his search for private secretaries might seem a bit odd, but it does seem to go to the root of the personality issues that Pulitzer had which dominated most of his life as an invalid. Generally fair and balanced as regards his personal life, though I think the World is let off a bit easy in terms of the mistakes it made.
