One doesn't really read a cookbook cover to cover, but I referenced this one today and thumbed thru it, recalling making many of these wonderful dishes over the years (used today for the ham and potato soup). My favorite cookbook beyond a doubt - the only ding is the lack of a detailed table of contents, but of course that forces you to leaf through if you're looking for a specific dish and leads to the discovery of many more tasty treats. This is such an adorable book! The objects are very easy to find, but I find when I am having a down day, it is nice to just relax with something so easy and simple. Young kids, like toddlers would enjoy this book immensely and I honestly don't think that a lot of help would be need as long as they were told what to find. This book is great for all ages, but perfect for Elmo fans!

This book contains a bunch of word search puzzles, each on a theme, such as authors, biology, chemistry, geography, U.S. history, etc. Each one has a word bank with several words, names, or phrases to find; each puzzle also includes several Jeopardy-clues around its theme. The answers to these clues are additional words to find in the word search. A healthy dose of trivia knowledge around the topics is helpful as the clues vary in how common knowledge they are. I feel like there might have been multiple contributors to this book as the puzzles definitely varied in difficultly level -- not just the Jeopardy clues but also in how many 'red herrings' were in the word searches. In addition, there was some inconsistencies around clues, such as whether a person included their first and last name or just their last name or whether "the" prefaced the word or not.

All in all, however, there was an amusing diversion to have on hand for downtimes to give your brain a bit of a workout but not something needing your full attention like a novel. show less

This book is my salvation! When my four-month-old granddaughter protests about me changing her diaper, I press a button on this book and play a song for her. She stops crying for a minute to try to figure out what that sound is! Haha! FTW!
