An in-depth account of the events and sociology of World War II.

It's more like sitting in on a history class for a semester than like watching a TV show. It's often interesting, and often hard to watch (it doesn't hold anything back). You probably couldn't do any better with a 26-hour war documentary. (Note to self: don't watch any more 26-hour war documentaries.)

Definitive 26-episode chronicle of WWII, from pre-war tensions to postwar reckoning, blending rare footage, eyewitness accounts, and Laurence Olivier's iconic narration. Restored edition enhances visuals and audio for modern viewing.
Remastered and invaluable recording of WWII from the Allied point of view.

Best viewed by segment rather than in program order.
Set of 5 DVD, original from 1974. So many people then still alive telling about the war.

The best documentary footage and interviews you will find.
