An easy early chapter book, rather like a simplified Brian Jacques book. Davis includes a number of well done and humorous illustrations that fit the spirit of the text. My seven year old enjoyed it very much.
Ok, I'll admit that I don't remember much about this book (or its sequel) as far as plot goes, having read them many many years ago when I was seven or something. What I do remember, is it being on of the first chapter books that I really enjoyed; it will always surprise me how much I disliked reading as a young child...
