Herbert Weiner, author of The Wild Goats of Ein Gedi, teaches at the New School for Social Research in New York and the Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem. He is Rabbi Emeritus of Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel in South Orange, New Jersey.

A somewhat old fashioned (published in 1969) chronicle of a man's search for knowledge of traditional kabbala. Traditional means, or course Jewish, with a focus on rabbinical. An enjoyable read.
